All meetings start at 7p and end at 8:10p with sports activity going until 8:30p.
GRFC Boy Scout Troop 157 Holland, MI
On March 4th troop 157 suffered a great loss.
The original Scoutmaster of the troop, Duane Neff passed away at the age of 86.
Mr. Neff served in World War II and, was awarded the Silver Beaver Award in Scouting.
Almost fifty years ago a committee was formed to start a troop at The Calvary Reformed Church, as the planning progressed there was a lack in volunteer scoutmasters, when approached Mr. Neff responded with a, “Well I can do that!” and on March 1st 1961 troop 157 was born,
If it hadn’t been for Mr. Neff the troop surely wouldn’t be the fantastic mass of family and fellowship it is today and I am sure he would be proud to see the troop now.
If anybody Mr. Neff deserved the biggest and best “troop cuddle” we could give, and the great world of scouting will surely miss him.
We meet on Mondays at Calvary Reformed Church. Usually we meet in the gym, entering through the gym entrance.
